Clinical Oncology Department

The department was officially commissioned by former president Muhammadu Buhari on 8th March, 2023 has since commenced clinical activities.

The department provides complete modern radiotherapy services for cancer patient with state of the radiotherapy equipment including two {2} Linac, Two BRT machines, a modern CT simulator 3-D US.3 and host of other equipment. Other services rendered include systemic therapies including chemotherapy, targeted therapy Immunotherapy, palliative care and other supportive care.

The pioneer Head of Department is Dr. Abba Ali Tijjani a consultant clinical and Radiation Oncologist, who is now a director of the UMTH Cancer Centre.

Mission: To provide special and high quality compassionate, cost friendly, and personalized radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment to patients with cancer, leveraging the latest technological advancement and research to achieve the best possible outcomes
